Though it might strike us as illogical, the fact is that in the midst of the current general mobilisation, a process of bunkerisation has emerged against which our conception of art wishes to unfold, like an environment to safeguard a portion of reality. However, in the wake of 9/11, the process of chaining together terrorism, violence, a thirst for revenge, and a demonization of the Other, has razed the ground to a heap of rubble, a place where it is very difficult to lay any kind of foundation.
